Laser’s Edge

Say good-bye to ordinary precut templates from the store.

Imagine the creative possibilities of quilting your own custom design. Dream of the expanded design creations you could develop from your original quilt template; a quilting template created especially for you, made to your specifications, in any size you desire.

Custom quilt templates created to your sketches. No pattern drafting required!

With our Laser Engraver, we can cut acrylic plastic templates in most any size or complexity. We also cut paper, tagboard, milar (no-melt), fabric, and cardboard, as well as engrave lines or artwork on these media. We do not make Copyright protected templates.

For quilting templates, we recommend clear fluorescent green acrylic plastic, which are about 1/10 inch thick. An exact pattern, drawn on paper with a dark pencil or pen gives the best results. This drawing is transferred into our computer where we check it for accuracy and make corrections, if requested. Seam allowances may be added along with small marking holes and text engraving as desired.

Cost for custom templates is usually $10 to $15 each. but varies with the complexity and amount of additional computer work needed.
